Integrating QuickBooks® and FileMaker® Pro Made Even Easier

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY - August 26, 2003 -- HAPPY Software, Inc. announces release of Version 2.1 of FileBooks Link Plug-in allowing FileMaker Pro to QuickBooks Pro integration. The new version includes major enhancements including dramatically enhanced ease of use for the most common operations, support for many non-US versions of QuickBooks and remote data sharing compatibility to allow for significant cost savings.

Newly Available Integration Files
Now available for download are fully unlocked, simple-to-use FileMaker-based pass-through files for automating the four most common uses of the plug-in. Each of the files gives even novice FileMaker programmers the ability to quickly create powerful integrations with QuickBooks.

"Development time has now been cut by 60% or more for the most common uses," said Joe Mastrianni, President of HAPPY. The pass-through files require only that the FileMaker programmer map their fields to the fields in the pass-through file through an import. Everything else is automated. Simple integrations can now be quickly implemented with minimal technical know-how.

Invoice Creation:  The FileBooks Link-Invoice.fp5 file allows users to post an invoice with multiple line items directly to QuickBooks with no programming at all.

Customer Management:  The FileBooks Link-Customers.fp5 file allows users to post one or a batch of customer records from FileMaker to QuickBooks. Additionally, the pass-through file can make automatic edits to existing customer records.

Vendor Management: The FileBooks Link-Vendors.fp5 allows users to post one or a batch of vendor records from FileMaker to QuickBooks. Additionally, the pass-through file can make automatic edits to existing vendor records.

Journal Entries:  The FileBooks Link-Journal Entry.fp5 file allows users to post Journal Entries to QuickBooks. Use when data is kept in FileMaker and only totals are posted to QuickBooks.

Support for Non-US Versions
The new version of the plug-in adds support and the Canadian, UK, and Australian versions of QuickBooks Pro 2003, while continuing support for the US versions of QuickBooks Pro 2002 and 2003. Support for high ASCII characters has also been added, allowing for special characters such as the accented characters that are more prevalent in non-English languages.

Remote Data Sharing
For power users, FileBooks Link now has the ability to communicate with copies of QuickBooks on the network without requiring that QuickBooks be installed on local the computer running FileMaker.  This new ability can significantly reduce QuickBooks licensing costs in multi-user Windows environments.

**Joint effort allows Insurance Agents to share data with QuickBooks using FileBooks Link®**

Thousands of insurance agents currently using Choices' Agency Management system across the country now have the ability to share data in real-time with QuickBooks Pro 2002.
