I am having an issue with Quickbooks 2005 not being recognized by the FileBooks plugin. I have developed programs for use with Quickbooks 2004 and upgraded them to 2005 easily, but I've ran into the problem that if the Quickbooks file was made using 2005 I would always get a -21 error.

This is a bit of a problem with one of our current projects since the file itself was created using 2005 and the program is ready, we just can't connect to it. Are there known issues with Quickbooks 2005?

Quickbooks isn't even identifying that File Maker is attempting to access the company file once its been open. The 3rd party programs list is completely empty.

When you make your first connection from FileBooks Link, you have to be logged into your company file in QuickBooks as the administrator to grant access to the external application. Is it possible that this is the source of the problem you're having?

Actually my problem was Filebooks is was unable to connect to Quickbooks 2005 Basic due to Basic's inability to offer an API that allows integration with external applications.

I tested using Quickbooks Pro 2005 and everything worked perfectly with no problems.
